UNINETTUNO Institutional Introduction

At the International Telematic Uninettuno University approximately 2000 students are enrolled every year. The students of the International Telematic University UNINETTUNO mainly come from Italy and from the Mediterranean Basin, above all from Egypt and Greece, but many students come also form other foreign countries, both European and extra-European ones.

The main method of instruction bases on synchronic and diachronic teaching/learning modes. The synchronic mode takes place through virtual classrooms on Second Life, videoconferences, audio and video-chats directly accessible from the didactic cyberspace. In the diachronic mode the student develops an autonomous learning process, participating in collaborative learning virtual communities through discussion forums. The combination of diachronic and synchronic modes is a key aspects of the psycho-pedagogic model developed by UNINETTUNO. A strong emphasis is then given to on-line tutoring and quality of video-professors selected among the best one of the Italian and foreign university-

The qualifications are modular. Each course corresponds to a given amount of credits that can be combined to build the training path. The University offers bachelor programs and first and second level Master courses..

The main language is Italian, but it is possible to attend courses in other four languages: Greek, English, French and Arabic.

There are no age limitations to enrol in the courses offered by the International Telematic University UNINETTUNO, the only requirement is having obtained the high school diploma.

Enrolments are open all year round. Online matriculations are allowed by UNINETTUNO didactic platform. Students enrolling to the University may apply for acknowledgement of formative credits resulting from professional activities and certified past academic studies.

Courses are commonly delivered three times during the year according to predefined schedules each Faculty delivers at the beginning of the academic year. According to the number of credits allocated to each module, duration is comprised between one and three months.

Qualitative and quantitative evaluation is established both at mid-term and at the end of the delivery by a final (written or oral) examination. Final examinations take place either at the head office or at the Technological Poles set up by the International Telematic University UNINETTUNO.

Students support is provided by expert tutor by mean of specific tools for online tutoring. Tutors and teachers support students in the virtual classrooms through audio and video chats, assess their assignments, guide their learning path and provide psychological support for problems arising with distance learning.

Students paying the annual fee for the enrolment receive their matriculation number and platform login account to access the digital library, the Didactic Cyberspace and all the training materials, videolessons, exercises, available on the portal of the International Telematic University UNINETTUNO.
